“No man is an island” and the same applies to business – especially a company that’s been around as long as Crawford Laboratories, manufacturer of Florock® Industrial Flooring. Celebrating its 60th year in the same South Side Chicago location, Florock is an integral part of the community.
So when Team Florock members came across the St. Baldrick’s Foundation, which sponsors more childhood cancer research grants than any other non-government organization, they wanted to get involved. St. Baldrick’s organizes local events, where volunteers get their heads shaved in public to help find a cure for juvenile cancer.
The Florock “shavee”? It’s none other than our own Technical Rep, Tom “Goldilocks” Lux! Tom’s will submit his head to the St. Baldrick’s razor, upon reaching his goal of $2K in donations for the cause.
Since Crawford Labs promises to match any contributions up to $1K, Tom’s objective is definitely within reach. When asked how it will feel to have his head shaved, Tom said, “It’ll grow back, I hope… and it’s for a great cause”.
The big (scalp) reveal is scheduled for Sunday, March 25, 2012 at Jameson’s, 9545 W. St. Francis Road, Frankfort, IL 60423 – but only if Tom reaches his pledge goal!
Join us in person to witness Tom’s beloved mane falling to the floor. Or, see his St. Baldrick’s page to learn how you can help.
